I found the tone of the voiceover absolutely VILE! GRRRR! I want to give the voiceover lady one TS. 'We hope Ash takes a hint from Kajol'...??!!!! I'm seething and cant seem to get a coherent thought out at the moment!

Ok, I'm back and not hyperventilating anymore. :-) So first, thanks Chiliburst.

Next, I agree totally with what Uma has said. I find the whole obssession with Ash's weight absolutely ridiculous -"Woman puts on weight after childbirth" is hardly news! That Ash is getting so much attention over her weight reveals more about us than her.

I think lots of women are secretly thrilled that the beautiful and slim Ms. Rai has put on weight. It makes them feel better about themselves. Hence, the voyeuristic pleasure in photos and videos of her looking 'fat'. I can almost hear the secret cheers of "Yay! She's not special - she's just like us. Hehehehahaha."

We seem to put film stars on a pedestal only to celebrate gleefully when they are revealed to be human like us - with the same flaws as us and the same problems that we have.

Hey guys, why this obsession with Moti Ash? There are so many other important things to worry about. Do we really care whether she is fat or slim? This obsession with Bollywood or Hollywood drives me mad. They all deserve a TS (tight slap as Wobi suggested)!

I think it is worth spending time on...because I feel that we constantly need to challenge ourselves, our unarticulated perceptions and biases and our opinions if we are to grow as human beings. When I first saw 'Ash's shocking weight gain' as a teaser ad on yahoo, I immediately wanted a dekho. It wouldn't load! Just as well. Because when I asked myself why exactly I was so keen, I discovered that perverse voyeurism within myself. I am happy to say that I got a stern talking to from myself and when I finally saw the video on this site I was disgusted. So sense has been restored to my head again and all is well with the world. But it helps me to know that there are others like me.
