Kavita Roy has, she says, the makings of an excellent journalist - rather fond of armchair criticism and is quite opinionated, but mostly friendly!!

A fairly recent immigrant to old Blighty, Kavita moved to the UK to be with her husband and his cats - all two of them - it was a package deal!

She was expecting gold and diamonds but received furry felines instead - not even exotic wild ones at that!

Joining the moggies in her in-house menagerie are are a son, two bunnies and a stick insect. Her son, without a doubt, is the sunshine of her existence.

Kavita earns her do waqt ki roti (or baked potatoes?) as a lawyer. She is red in her politics and red in her football team (GO LIVERPOOL)!

She does not think multicultralism is dead and detests closed mindedness.
